A red carpet "reporter" covering Vanity Fair's Oscar afterparty has sparked outrage online over her interview with Megan Thee Stallion.

On Sunday (March 3), Hannah Berner and Paige DeSorbo, hosts of the "Giggly Squad" podcast and former co-stars on Bravo's Summer House, were tapped to interview Hollywood's hottest stars before they entered the Vanity Fair Oscar party following the 97th annual Academy Awards.

The pair interviewed several A-listers, including Hailey Bieber and Vanessa Hudgens, but their conversation with Megan Thee Stallion went viral for all the wrong reasons.

Berner and DeSorbo started their interview with Meg praising the rapper for giving confidence to women everywhere through her music. Berner then stated that she was "going to cry" over meeting the music icon.

"When I want to fight someone, I listen to your music," Berner told Meg Thee Stallion.

Meg, who has been dubbed the "Hot Girl" coach, is known for promoting self-confidence and pride through her music and not violence. Social media users swiftly condemned Berner over her comment, saying linking a Black woman to fighting was a clear microaggression.

The rapper seemingly picked up on the bizarre remark about her music, gracefully diverting the conversation back to her message of self-love.

"Cause you want to throw that fighting sh*t out the window, and get cute, and be a bad b*tch," Meg responded.

"When people are talking sh*t, I go, 'turn on Meg thee Stallion," Berner continued, still seemingly alluding that Meg's music makes her get aggressive.

"Body-ody-ody I look beautiful, I look so great," the artist interjected in another apparent attempt to divert Berner's messaging.

Fans expressed outrage over Berner linking Meg to violence.

"Megan doesn’t have a single song about fighting," one social media user said.

"Meg was like “fight people? Girl, I make Bad Bih music. Do you see these nails? We don’t fight," another user added.

"Meg handled that micro aggression so well," a third user commented.

"The racism is loud," a fourth user said.
