Olympic Track Star Tori Bowie Dead At 32

Tori Bowie, a three-time Olympic sprint medalist, has died, according to TMZ. She was 32.

On Tuesday (May 2), Bowie was found dead in Florida. Her cause of death remains unknown, per the outlet.

Bowie's management team confirmed her death in a statement on Wednesday (May 3).

"We've lost a client, dear friend, daughter, and sister," the statement reads. "Tori was a champion…a beacon of light that shined so bright! We're truly heartbroken and our prayers are with the family and friends."

Bowie broke out as a track star at the University of Southern Mississippi, winning NCAA long jump championships in indoor and outdoor track.

She went on to join Team USA and earn three medals at the 2016 Rio Olympics, including a gold in the 4x100-meter relay race, a silver in the 100-meter dash, and a bronze in the 200-meter dash. In 2017, Bowie became the fastest woman in the world, winning the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.85 seconds at the IAAF World Championship in London.
