Black-Owned Fish Fry Business Expands Into More Than 1,200 Stores

Joe's Gourmet Fish Fry has announced an exciting new partnership with Inland Seafood. Through this new partnership, the Black-owned, family-operated business will enter into more than 1,200 Food Lion locations.

“Here at Joes’ Gourmet, we take pride in offering a delicious and all in one seafood breading mix that beats all other breading mixes,” Joe's Gourmet Fish Fry Co-Founder Joseph Dowell III said.

"We are simply offering the best fried Catfish you will ever taste and our growing number of customers are backing this claim with full confidence in our products.”

Dowell III created Joe's Gourmet Fish Fry alongside his parents. With financial assistance from his parents, he was able to grow the business into a successful brand that is available in Publix, Walmart and now 1,200 Food Lion locations

Dowell III's new product will feature a harmonious blend of herbs and spices that compliments a variety of seafood. Moreover, Joe's Gourmet Fish Fry seasoning does not absorb oil which allows seafood to maintain a unique, crisp crunch.

“It’s the best of both worlds,” Dowell said.

“We bring a niche market of passionate fans while Inland brings marketing, manufacturing, and distribution expertise. Working with their team is a dream come true for our company.”

Joe's Gourmet Fish Fry has also garnered support from celebrity investors. During an appearance on Shark Tank, Daymond John asked to invest in the growing company. With Thanksgiving preparations in full swing, many will be looking to Joe's Gourmet Fish Fry to spice up their meal.
