According to Biden’s campaign, the superstar is scheduled to speak at an event in Detroit, followed by another event in Harper Woods on Friday (October 23).
Lizzo is expected to speak at a volunteer canvass event in Detroit, where she will encourage Michigan voters to vote early in the presidential election around 3 p.m. The exact location of the event has not been publicly released.
The talented singer is then scheduled to have a conversation about early voting with young people and hopeful voters in Harper Woods at 5:30 p.m. Friday.
Lizzo, who was born in Detroit, has been using her platform to address social issues and encourage Americans to vote in the 2020 election.
Lizzo made the announcement on her Instagram page, writing what some may seem controversial.
“Have you felt the same disconnect from this country?,” she wrote. “Have YOU felt like this nation is your house but not your home? It’s because we are on stolen land trying to live within laws written by white men FOR white men in 1787."
